9 February 2012 - National chartered accounting firm RSM Bird Cameron is pleased to announce its merger with Bunbury-based practice CLD Accounting. This became effective 1 February 2012.
The merger will increase the size of RSM Bird Cameron’s Bunbury office to 20 staff and it will continue to be led by Director Mike Ansell and Principal Phil DiCandilo.
CLD Accounting has clients throughout the South West including Bunbury, Busselton, Collie and Australind.
RSM Bird Cameron’s Director Mike Ansell said he is excited about the merger as it gives the firm enhanced strength and capacity in the South West marketplace and helps cement the firm’s position as advisors of choice for regional businesses.
‘I am delighted to welcome onboard staff from CLD Accounting. They are a dynamic and experienced team and I anticipate the merger to provide additional resources and opportunities for prospective and current clients of both firms’, said Mr Ansell.
CLD Accounting’s Mr Kevin Bertelli echoed Mr Ansell’s thoughts. ‘We believe CLD Accounting’s clients will benefit from having the best of both worlds – the dedication of a strong local firm and the expanded services available from a national firm, particularly one that has been in Bunbury for 80 years’.
This is the second merger that RSM Bird Cameron has formalised in the last three months. In November 2011, the firm’s Sydney office acquired Guild Accountants, a New South Wales practice specialising in delivering accounting services to the pharmacy industry.
