11 November 2011 - Australian Eco Constructions won the Award from a strong field of nominees announced on Friday 11th November at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Company was also later in the evening named the overall State winner: The Department of Regional Development and Lands Regional Achievement and Community Award winner.
400 guests attended the Gala event including politicians, mayors, shire presidents, sponsors and finalists, to celebrate the wonderful achievements of many of regional and rural Western Australia’s highest achievers and community groups.
Australian Eco Constructions representatives were presented with their category Award by Katie Mealey, Principal, RSM Bird Cameron. The State Awards was presented to them by Declan Morgan, Acting Director General, Department of Regional Development and Lands. Host for the evening was WIN Television Newsreader, Matt Tinney and official guest was Awards Patron, the Hon Brendon Grylls MP, Minister for Regional Development.
Winners each received a $2,000 Bank Account from Commonwealth Bank and a trophy. Record nominations and a record attendance at the Award ceremony culminated another tremendously successful year for the Awards. The ten category winners are:

• AVON VALLEY ENVIRONMENT SOCIETY IN - CSBP Environment Award
• KALGOORLIE-BOULDER URBAN LANDCARE GROUP - LandCorp Sustainability Award
• ATHENA HAIN-SAUNDERS of Bunbury - Curtin University Teaching Excellence Award
• GOLDFIELDS AGED PENSIONERS WELFARE ASSOCIATION INC - Prime Super Community Group of the Year Award
