Our vacation program is an opportunity for you to get a head start on your career by putting your theory into practice and working in a professional and supportive environment. RSM Bird Cameron’s vacation program involves paid employment to gain practical experience during your university summer and winter semester break and gives you the opportunity to experience firsthand who we are and what we do.

Opportunities

At RSM Bird Cameron, we believe you are the best placed person to know where your accounting career should start.  We offer motivated and enthusiastic students the opportunity to experience Assurance and Advisory, Turnaround and Insolvency, Tax Services and Business Solutions. Our offices offer the following programs:

Melbourne - Summer Vacation Program
Perth - Winter and Summer Vacation Program
Sydney - Summer Vacation Program

Our Program

We will provide you with support throughout your vacation employment by assigning you a mentor who will guide and assist you with developing your skills. As a valued member of our team you will also have the opportunity to receive ongoing guidance from your fellow work colleagues including Partners.

Who we are looking for

At RSM Bird Cameron, we believe cultural fit and academic excellence is important.  We are interested in students who are committed to providing excellent client service and enjoy working as part of a team. A proven academic record and excellence in communication and leadership are of equal importance to the Firm.  If you are in your second or penultimate year and are studying a Bachelors in Business, Commerce or relevant discipline and believe in our passion for excellence then we would like to hear from you.

Representatives from our Human Resources and Business divisions attend career fairs throughout Australia, providing students with opportunities to seek further information about our Firm, our vacation program and what can be expected in working with us.

Applications for our 2012 Perth Winter and Summer Vacation Program will open in March 2012.

Applications for our 2012 Melbourne and Sydney Summer Vacation Program will open in August 2012.
